Nobby Kitchens change to ArtiCAD Pro design software

One of the timeless business names in Sydney is Nobby Kitchens. It seems everyone recalls “Nobody but Nobby” and it seems to have been there forever.

Founded in 1939 by the Hall family, Nobby Kitchens has transcended many guises over the last 70-odd years and in 2016 it is going from strength to strength, with third generation John Hall at the helm. Business has been very good for the last 12 months and John is making sure that that trend continues by investing in growth. The targets for this investment are, focussed marketing, the right people and highly functional company systems. Association with quality brands such as Polytech, Hafele and Blum are also a very important part of the plan.

With three showrooms, in Gordon, Castle Hill and Newcastle, Nobby has a strong sales team who have been given the tools to ensure the growth continues. In addition to a very useful CRM, which handles the administration of their sales activities, they have just changed to a new ArtiCAD-Pro Kitchen Design program, available through QuickCAM Systems.

Michael Pignataro, Business Manager based in Newcastle, oversaw the implementation and testing of ArtiCAD which has a dedicated Nobby product catalogue installed and links to the CRM. The reason for the strategic change to ArtiCAD is part of the Nobby growth plan. “We wanted to take our customers to a new level”, said Michael, “With ArtiCAD we can design a kitchen and show a spectacular and realistic render in minutes. Plans and elevations can then be added to the documents produced from our CRM, including a fixed price quotation, and the sale can be closed on the spot. There are also some great time saving features so you can get a design out even faster.”

John Hall’s positive plan for the future of Nobby Kitchens is all about giving Nobby customers confidence, security, peace of mind and a vision. This is all supported by Nobby’s one stop shop philosophy, a fixed price contract, local manufacture, a convincing presentation and written guarantees to protect the customer. John Hall pointed out, “ArtiCAD has been the missing link in our sales strategy. With ArtiCAD now in place, our customers will see a first class vision of what we want to sell them, with no imagination required.”

At recent training sessions, conducted by Michael, the sales team, experiencing ArtiCAD for the first time, all reacted positively to the new software and agreed that it will certainly improve their performance opportunities.

“We changed to ArtiCAD Pro as it is a far more user friendly program. The ease of creating a true to life 3D rendition of a design, is cutting edge. It has increased our closure rates at appointments attended, as clients get that life-like look of what their new kitchen will look like. Equally the service and support that goes with the program is flawless… thanks team for producing an exceptional CAD program.”
